Star Wars The Force Unleashed for Playstation 2

new_playstation2_gameBy Ilham Ali Hakim

This is good for gamers that still hold on to theirs Playstation 2 video game console, old but still the best way to enjoy much video game on market right now. Two thumbs up for Lucas and Team that considering releasing them newest Galactic Franchise: Star wars The Force Unleashed. These video games give a new hope for Playstation 2, which they are not gameover yet.

Sure, there may have been enough Star Wars games to fill a galaxy, but The Force Unleashed takes in a new direction by placing the emphasis squarely on the Force abilities themselves. Especially for Playstation 2 platform, in this video game we might travel through ancient time and learn something about the force, credits for developers that make differences in any platform. In short, in this video game you will not find some features on Playstation 2 in other platform.

Become Darth Vader Secret Apprentice and Assassin

Playing as Starkiller, Darth Vader’s apprentice, you’ll have to use every ounce of your power to keep the enemy at bay. But first the game begins with the player controlling Darth Vader and searching Kashyyyk for a surviving Jedi. After battling the Jedi, Vader discover the Jedi’s Force-strong child and raises him to become his apprentice (we play this character). In the game, Vader plot him to hunting remaining Jedi to upgrade his skill and than together Vader and Starkiller will overthrown the Emperor (that’s plot we believe at first time we play).

But the story goes with the force you unleashed in this video game. Who exactly is it that you’re fighting? That’s what you’ll have to find out as you explore the meaning of what it means to be good versus evil.

The Dark Side Make You Stronger

At the main menu, choose the “Options” selection, then select the “Enter Code” option. Or, you can choose the “Extras” selection inside the Rogue Shadow, then select the “Cheat Codes” option. This is my favorite code, the code is working for playstation 2 consoles you can googling for more cheat code.

How to Connect Your Playstation 2 Console to the Internet

network adapter

network adapter

There are few basic requirements before you wish to connect your playstation 2 console to the internet:

1. Sign up for an internet service provider package.

2. Have a network adapter

3. Have a dial up modem / ADSL Router

4. A PlayStation 2 Memory Card with about 150k space available to install the Network Adaptor drivers and software and save your internet connection settings.

To connect your USB modem to the PlayStation 2, the best solution is leaving the modem connected to your PC, and then setup an Internet Connection Sharing connection between the PC and the PlayStation 2. To do this, you will need:

1. USB Modem with USB device cable

2. Windows 98 or higher installed on your PC

3. 1 available Ethernet Card on your PC

4. One Cat5 twisted pair straight cable

First of all, you must have your USB modem properly installed and configured on your PC. Now, enable Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on your PC - if you are not exactly an expert PC user, detailed directions to install ICS can be found on Microsoft’s official website.

Now connect your PlayStation 2 to your computer, plugging one end of the Cat5 cable into the PC’s Ethernet Card, and the other end into the PlayStation 2’s Ethernet port. Activate the connection on your PC, then insert the Network Adapter start-up disk onto your PlayStation 2 and simply configure your PlayStation 2 for a broadband connection.

Playstation 2 Consoles | Hardware and software compatibility

Memory Card Ps2

Memory Card Ps2

In addition to PS2 software, the Playstation 2 Consoles can read both CDs and DVDs and is backward compatible with PlayStation games. The ability to play DVD movies was an added incentive for consumers to be able to justify purchasing the PS2 slimline. The PS2 also supports PlayStation memory cards (for PlayStation game saves only) and controllers, although the memory cards only work with PS1 games and the controllers may not support all functions (such as analog buttons) for PS2 games.

The PS2’s DualShock 2 controller is essentially an upgraded PlayStation DualShock; analog face, shoulder and D-pad buttons replaced the digital buttons of the original. Like its predecessor, the DualShock 2 controller has force feedback, which is commonly called the “vibration” function. The standard PlayStation 2 memory card has an 8MB capacity and uses Sony’s MagicGate encryption. This requirement prevented the production of memory cards by third parties who did not purchase a license for the MagicGate encryption. Memory cards without encryption can be used to store PlayStation game saves, but PlayStation games would be unable to read from or write to the card - such a card could only be used as a backup.

The console also features USB and IEEE 1394 expansion ports. Compatibility with USB and IEEE 1394 devices is dependent on the software supporting the device. For example, the PS2 BIOS will not boot an ISO image from a USB flash drive or operate a USB printer, as the machine’s operating system does not include this functionality. By contrast, Gran Turismo 4 is programmed to save screenshots to a USB mass storage device and print images on certain USB printers. A PlayStation 2 HDD can be installed in an expansion bay on the back of the console, with some exceptions.
